Freedom isnt Free!!!

Sometimes you have to loose something very dear to you for the sake of other people. This is exactly what happened in “The Patriot.” This movie highlighted the harsh experiences of a man at war. He lost two of his sons and many other loved ones in this fight of freedom. He also lost his home and many other belongings. Other than that he lost his peace of mind. His experiences showed how the sacrifices of one man can help gain the independence of a country. Although he lost many things in this war he gained something that is far more important than anything else. He gained freedom. He lost his loved ones but he gained independence for a whole nation. I can understand his feelings for his sons but in my opinion he should be proud of the fact that his sons sacrificed their lives for the sake of independence. He lost his sons but he secured the future of the many generations coming ahead of him. If America hadn’t gained independence from the British who knows how many other lives would have been lost. So in the end all of his sacrifices were worth it.
